‘It takes a village’ to build a hub for the fashion forward. We peel back the tassels, feathers and glitter of the Christopher Place Shopping Centre to meet the people who are the movement and result of spring trends 2018.
Christopher Place Centre Manager, Catherine Morris, knows that during this seasonal transitional period, the weather nor the fullness of one’s schedule will get in the way of the centre’s fashion forward regulars.
‘I’m proud to say that our customers are fiercely style minded and have a thirst for the newest collections. Our responsibility as a shopping mall is to showcase trends, inspired from the runway. I believe CP’s high end retailers connect on a style level with our customer brilliantly. Spring always brings great fashions to the centre which we’re all excited to see.’
Sylwia, the assistant manager at HOBBS, speaks with such passion about the new spring collection. Her energy in styling is reflected in the dynamic colour seen in store.
‘You will see a burst of colour throughout the store. A lot of lime and magenta. Our lime suede Grace court shoe and matching clutch are superb.’
And we agree. Any black outfit would instantly pop with these additional accessories which are available in store now.
One of our #CPloves team has been rootling around the mall to find some #styleinspo from our customers. Needless to say it didn’t take long before we stumbled across Letizia with her baby. Letizia’s use of block colour and mixing textures echos the peaks of spring fashion 2018 found on the catwalk from designers such as Christopher Kane.

French Connection have also thrust bold pinks and buttercup yellows with lovely accessories and striking multi textured blouses.
‘French connection are known for their mix of pattern and texture. Never afraid of colour, I think French Connection won’t disappoint in the next couple of weeks with an influx of buttercup yellow emerging.’ Says Theresa, the manager of French Connection in Christopher Place.

Looking forward, we’ll be sure to see some classic staples such as traditional trench coats with a splash of colour. Pencil skirts are sure to make an appearance alongside polka dotted playsuits and blouses.
A few items worth a ‘Go See’ are the beautiful Whistles Short Sheepskin Gilet, Links of London grey and rose gold Friendship Bracelet and the elegant mid length Polka Dress from LK Bennett.
We’ll be on the mall watching out for more #styleinspo this spring.
