Wagamama’s are serving up sustainable choices

Wagamama is a leading restaurant in the UK when it comes to protecting the environment. In 2021, Wagamama developed three positive change initiatives, one of these actions led to the restaurant making 50% of their menu plant-based which helped reduce their footprint on the environment. This enabled customers to have more sustainable options and increased awareness about the environmental benefits of reducing meat consumption.

Wagamama also focused on reducing their use of plastic and now use recycled materials to make up the bases of their bowls and changed the material of the delivery bags to recycled kraft paper. The material is renewable, recyclable and has a lower carbon footprint than other materials.
