Situated in close proximity to Christopher Place are the historic Cathedral and Abbey Church of St Alban. The Cathedral boasts a unique architectural heritage, which includes bricks from Roman Verulamium, additions made in Norman and Saxon times and a comprehensive restoration in the late 1880's.

The Clock Tower, situated next to Christopher Place was built in the 1400's and offers excellent views of the Abbey, original Roman Verulamium and the city.
